About this Speaker

Since 2003 Peterson Toscano has used comedy and storytelling to help on-line and in-person audiences gain deeper understanding into difficult and polarizing issues including LGBTQ rights and debates about faith and sexuality. These days he uses audio and video content creation to engage people in deeper conversations about climate change. As a quirky queer climate communicator and the host of Citizens Climate Radio, Peterson helps people see climate change from fresh angles while stirring up empathy towards those most affected. Wherever he goes, he brings stories of determination, resiliency, and a cast of comic characters. Peterson also produces Bubble&Squeak, an audio magazine with a queer esthetic. He has presented his original performance lectures throughout North America and the UK. Originally form the US, Peterson lives in Waterval Boven, South Africa with his husband, Glen Retief.
