About this session

At the intersection of a global health pandemic, civil rights movements, and fragile global economy, 2020 marked the beginning of an era where those who formerly could not or chose not to see the deeply seeded inequities across our global society were forced to reckon with systemic failures in ways that they never had before. Designers, creatives, and makers around the world, like many sectors, are grappling with what it means to emerge from this time in a way that is sustainable and inclusive for this earth and all of her people. This panel will explore the question “How might we work to support the environmental justice movement in our own communities?” through the lens of storytelling and intersectionality.
